1. YouTube API Services Disclosure
Creator ScoreCard uses YouTube API Services. Our use of information received from YouTube API Services adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
By using our Service, you also acknowledge and agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's Privacy Policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
You may revoke Creator ScoreCard's access to your data via the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account or use the Service, we may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, profile picture (as provided through your authentication provider), and any other information you choose to provide through your account settings, support requests, or feedback submissions.
2.2 Information Collected Through YouTube API Services
When you use the Service to analyze YouTube channels, we access publicly available data through the YouTube Data API v3, including channel metadata (channel name, description, subscriber count, video count, creation date, thumbnail images), video metadata (titles, descriptions, publication dates, durations, tags, category IDs, thumbnail images), and public engagement metrics (view counts, like counts, comment counts). This data is publicly available on YouTube and does not require your personal YouTube account credentials to access.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use the Service, we automatically collect certain information, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, device type and identifiers, referring URLs and exit pages, pages viewed and features used within the Service, date and time of access, session duration and frequency, click patterns and navigation paths, search queries and channel handles entered, API usage metrics and quota consumption, and error logs and performance data.
2.4 Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar tracking technologies to collect and store information about your interactions with the Service. These technologies help us maintain your session state, remember your preferences, understand usage patterns, and improve the Service. You may configure your browser to reject cookies, but doing so may limit your ability to use certain features of the Service.
2.5 Information from Third-Party Services
We may receive information about you from third-party authentication providers when you log in to the Service, including your name, email address, and profile picture. We may also receive information from payment processors (such as Stripe) in connection with subscription transactions, including transaction identifiers, payment status, and billing information (but not full payment card numbers).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Service Delivery and Operations. We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including processing your requests, generating analytics and reports, managing your account and subscription, and providing customer support.
Analytics and Performance Insights. We process YouTube API Data to compute channel performance metrics, video analytics, outlier scores, performance radar ratings, channel audit scores, time-window performance estimates, format-level statistics, peer benchmarks, and other analytical outputs that form the core functionality of the Service.
Derived Data and Aggregated Analytics. We create aggregated, anonymized, and derived datasets from user interactions and processed YouTube API Data. This Derived Data is used to generate industry benchmarks, platform-wide statistics, content format performance baselines, publishing timing insights, and other aggregate analytics that improve the Service for all users. Derived Data does not identify individual users.
Service Improvement and Development. We analyze usage patterns, feature engagement, error rates, and performance metrics to improve existing features, develop new features, optimize the user experience, and make data-driven product decisions.
Communication. We use your email address to send transactional communications (such as account verification, subscription confirmations, and payment receipts), service announcements, security alerts, and, where you have opted in, marketing communications about new features, content, or offers.
Security and Fraud Prevention. We use information to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, unauthorized access, abuse of the Service, and other illegal activities, and to protect the rights, property, and safety of the Company, our users, and third parties.
Legal Compliance. We use information as necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
Research and Analytics. We may use aggregated and de-identified information for research, statistical analysis, and reporting purposes, including publishing industry reports, whitepapers, and benchmark studies.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors (Stripe), authentication providers, analytics and monitoring services, and email delivery services. These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
4.2 YouTube API Data Sharing
Our use of YouTube API Data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not share YouTube API Data with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, with your explicit consent, or as required by law. We do not use YouTube API Data for advertising purposes or for purposes unrelated to the Service.
4.3 Aggregated and De-Identified Data
We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you with third parties for any purpose, including research, industry benchmarking, marketing, and business development. This includes aggregate platform statistics, industry performance benchmarks, content format trends, and similar analytical outputs.
4.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. 4.5 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend the rights or property of the Company, prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service, protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public, or protect against legal liability.
4.6 With Your Consent
We may share your information with third parties when you have given us your explicit consent to do so.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We may also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes such as maintaining security and data integrity.
Aggregated, anonymized, and Derived Data may be retained indefinitely, as it does not identify individual users and serves important analytical and benchmarking functions.
Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Certain data may persist in backups for a reasonable period before being permanently deleted.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication mechanisms, access controls and role-based permissions, regular security assessments, and monitoring for suspicious activity.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
